In the summer of 2007, I was talked into running for the Centennial City Council. I had been involved with managing campaigns for other local candidates and I thought it would be a good experience. Even though I had only lived in Centennial for about 2 years, I entered the race.

To make a long story short, my opponents difficulties made for a relatively easy victory -- I won with over 72% of the vote. It was a proud moment for me, but I was saddened by the fact my dad past away less than a month before the election.

 have served four years on city council. My term ended at the beginning of 2012 after I decided not to run for reelection. Although I enjoyed representing District 3, the time commitment is quite extensive and I knew there were other well qualified people to serve on council.
